A pamphlet for safe and effective landing in netball has been developed for coaches of players 13 years and under thanks to the University of Ballarat, Netball Australia, Smartplay and the Victorian Government.

Netball coaches believe this pamphlet, as part of the Down2Earth program, will improve player performance and reduce stepping, particularly among young players.

Interventions targeting lower limb control have been shown to reduce injury risk factors in netball and lower limb injuries. Starting interventions early has a positive impact on ensuring players have good landing skills and body control to minimise injury risk and enhance performance.
